This website is operated by EMCAI Solutions Ltd (“E-MC.ai”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Scotland under company number SC809536, with its registered address at 5 South Charlotte Street, Edinburgh, Scotland, EH2 4AN. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site.

What we collect
- Newsletter details — the email address you provide to subscribe to The Journal.
- Enquiry details — your name, email address, organisation and the content of any message when you request a demo or contact us.
- Technical and usage data — IP address, device and browser type, pages visited and referring source. Analytics data is only collected where you have allowed analytics cookies.
How and why we use it
- To respond to enquiries and demo requests — on the basis of our legitimate interest in dealing with people who contact us, or to take steps prior to entering a contract.
- To send The Journal — on the basis of your consent, withdrawable at any time via the unsubscribe link in any issue.
- To keep the site secure and available — on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a safe service.
- To understand and improve how the site is used — on the basis of your consent to analytics cookies.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to deliver the site securely and to remember your cookie choice. Analytics and marketing cookies are switched off until you allow them, and no non-essential scripts load without consent.

Sharing and processors

How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is retained for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for up to 26 months. Cookie consent records are kept for 12 months, after which you are asked again.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing, request portability, and withdraw consent at any time.
